Hi. Yep Yep. Great news
to hear that Korg has finally seen fit to implement, what I've been advocating and rallying for 'for many years' (since 1999) here.
In fact, It's now been confirmed (following receiving the chord recognition test results performed by Paolo (ptram), that EVERY one of my requested rootless jazz chords are now included in the PA1X & PA1Xpro's 'chord recognition table' with OS 2.50:
http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/010769.html George, are you saying the Expert rootless chords are now also included in the PA80 with OS update 3.05 as well?
It's a great feeling to know that my long quest for getting rootless chord recognition included on 'all brands' of arrangers has finally taken hold. The only arranger keyboard manufacterers that have'nt yet come onboard are: Roland, Gem, and Casio.
George, I hope you might be willing to stick your neck out & use your business connections with Roland, Gem, and Casio, in persuading them to finally implement these pro sounding 'rootless chords' as well. This can only help broaden the appeal & respect for, and generate interest in arranger keyboard playing among traditional professional acoustic jazz style keyboard players.
As I mentioned before, Chris Halon (formerly the official kb artist & style creator for Technics) is now the Product Specialist at Roland. I would expect that it might be easy to convince him of the importance of adding rootless chord recogition on the G70, because Technics arrangers have included this feature all along. George, whatever you can do to help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Scott
